What's New at Shenandoah Crossing
The comfortable two-bedroom, two-bath,condostyle resort villa with kitchen, dining and living areas will always be a staple for the resort vacationer, because it satisfies somany vacation needs. But, at Shenandoah Crossing, there's a new alternative — in fact, there are two attractive options for Bluegreen vacationers.

Surrounded by a comfortable deck, a Bluegreen Luxury Yurt is a high-end insulated, fabric vacation home that's about as far from a tent as you can get.First is the accommodation that we think will be the next big thing at Bluegreen Resorts, and it's not a new resort at all. It's a new vacation experience — an alternative accommodation that combines luxury with privacy and honors a centuries-old tradition of life beyond the city.

Our new accommodations provide a one-of-a-kind timeshare experience and Bluegreen is the first in the timeshare industry to offer it. "We are happy to be the trendsetters!" says Ramona Legowski, Director of Program Development at Bluegreen.

These new facilities take the owner outdoors to provide an experiential vacation that may tire the body but is certain to refresh the spirit. While they are a little closer to nature, they are far from rustic. That's why Bluegreen doesn't just call them 'yurts,' we call them Luxury Yurts.

Filled with furnishings and fixtures just like your home, the Luxury Yurt rivals a resort condo in terms of comfortable amenities. While the yurt name comes from the temporary homes of Mongolian yak herders, ours are secure and permanent. Surrounded by a comfortable deck, a Bluegreen Luxury Yurt is a high-end insulated, fabric vacation home that's about as far from a tent as you can get. Filled with furnishings and fixtures just like your home, the Luxury Yurt rivals a resort condo in terms of comfortable amenities — goodies just unheard of in any canvas dwelling you've ever seen. An upgraded and fully equipped kitchen is at the heart of the Luxury Yurt, but the living area, complete with fireplace, sofa and television, heating and air conditioning must be its soul. Add a bathroom with hot water, real plumbing — even a shower — and a king-sized bedroom and a Bluegreen Luxury Yurt is the most exciting new vacation accommodation in the Bluegreen collection. There are 2 distinct floorplans, sleeping from 2 to 6 guests.

Bluegreen's newly built RV sites are equipped with every convenience and comfort a family could possibly need to enjoy the outdoors from their personal cabin on wheels. And for those who own RVs, Bluegreen is pleased to announce the availability of a selection of RV pads unrivaled anywhere. Bluegreen's newly built RV sites are equipped with every convenience and comfort a family could possibly need to enjoy the outdoors from their personal "cabin on wheels." Most sites include full patios, grills, lawn chairs, privacy screens, fire rings, tables and chairs, extra parking, and beautiful, natural landscaping. Some sites also include a complete outdoor kitchen. And if you want to try RV camping but lack an RV, Bluegreen can provide one for you.

A model yurt and an RV pad will be featured at the Smoky Mountain Preview Center near Gatlinburg, Tennessee so owners and potential owners can see the unique accommodations first-hand. The first yurts are being readied for occupancy at Shenandoah Crossing near Gordonsville, Virginia. RV pads will also be introduced at the Shenandoah Crossing site.

Most RV sites include full patios, grills, lawn chairs, privacy screens, fire rings, tables and chairs, extra parking, and beautiful, natural landscaping. Our RV pads and Luxury Yurts are all about returning to a simpler place and time without sacrificing a single creature comfort. There is a very special rustic charm to our Luxury Yurts, while the RV pads call upon the spirit of those places where folks gather to form a kindred community that may not last beyond the week, but generates memories that remain forever.

Stay tuned to Bluegreen Online and future issues of Colorful Places for more information, pictures and development news. In the meantime, start getting ready to head off into the woods — but don't worry about dusting off the old sleeping bags and lying on the cold, damp ground. You need never experience that side of nature again. Now, Bluegreen's got you covered — with clean and comfortable linens on a genuine bed beneath a secure roof under an endless canopy of glittering stars. Next Page
