Who says you have to “rough it” to enjoy the beauty of nature? Petit Crest Villas is a haven of creature comforts in the midst of Georgia’s unspoiled wilderness. The fitness center features a comprehensive array of activities, with a five-lane indoor pool offering lap swims and water aerobics, hot tub, cardio equipment, aerobic classes, racquetball and squash courts, two indoor tennis courts, juice bar and massage therapy.
Next door to the fitness center is Lake Disharoon, a popular destination during the summer months. Here you can swim in the lake or the outdoor pool, engage in a game of beach volleyball, paddle around in a canoe or paddleboat or whiz down the waterslide. There are also locker rooms and a snack bar for your convenience.
For a tranquil day of fishing, you can cast your line in nearby Lake Petit for rainbow trout from October through April or in Lake Sconti year-round for bass and brim. Schedule a tee time at the 27-hole Big Canoe Golf Course, practice your serve on eight outdoor tennis courts (four clay, four lit for night play) or explore ten miles of hiking trails. Fees apply for use of certain amenities at and around the resort.
Return to your rustic pedestal cabin to relax in front of the cozy fireplace or enjoy nature and the refreshing mountain air from the peaceful porch.
Note: This resort requires a full-week stay with check-in on Friday.
